Business owner of Peak Vet. Terry grew up in the small city of North Battleford, Sk. but gained his interest in cattle on his grandpa’s farm in Alberta. He moved to Saskatoon to enter the College of Agriculture before attending Western College of Veterinary Medicine to convocate in 2009. After receiving his degree, he pursued his career at Bellamy Harrison Animal Hospital in Moose Jaw, Sk. In 2012 he took over the large animal side of BHAH and opened Peak Veterinary Health with his wife Erin. In Terry’s very little spare time he enjoys spending quality time with Erin, their two little girls Teagan and Quinn, and their little boy Levi. If you can’t find Terry running around from call to call, you can find him hunting anywhere from rural Saskatchewan to the Yukon.
Laurie grew up on a grain and cattle farm in the small town of Elfros. SK. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Agriculture in 2007 before completing her Veterinary Medicine Degree at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She began her career at LaBrash Veterinary Clinic in Meadow Lake moving on to work at Peak Veterinary Health in the spring of 2017. Laurie currently lives on a farm near Pense, Sk. with her significant other Ryan and her Labrador Barley. In her off time she enjoys helping out on both family farms, ice fishing, playing hockey, and hunting for everything and anything.
Laura was raised on an acreage with horses outside of Onanole, Mb. where her interest for all animals grew. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2016 before completing her Veterinary Medicine Degree at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Laura started working at Peak Vet in the summer of 2020 and continued with us after her convocation to become one of our veterinarians. She currently lives on a ranch near Old Wives, SK with her significant other Lars, her horses, dogs and cats. Her hobbies include pasture riding, ranch roping, and hunting.
Dr. Tyson Buyer is a graduate of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, SK. Tyson was raised on a beef farm outside of Carbon AB until 2012 when his family moved to Carnduff, SK. Tyson has always had a keen interest in large animal medicine and farm animal reproduction. After high school, Tyson completed his Bachelor Degree of Animal Science from the University of Saskatchewan prior to entering Vet school. Dr. Buyer was awarded the Amstutz Scholarship in 2013 and the Merck Student Recognition Award, each for outstanding performance as a large animal veterinary student in North America. Shortly after university Tyson opened up his Veterinary practice, Ranchland Veterinary Services in Carnduff. In 2021 he decided to move to Moose Jaw with his family and merge his practice with Western Veterinary Services to become Peak Veterinary Health. His main areas of interest are in herd medicine and farm animal reproduction. Tyson enjoys playing hockey, baseball and spending time at the lake with his wife and two daughters.
Dr. Hanna Hone is a 2021 graduate of the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, PEI. Hanna was born in Southern California but moved to Canada and grew up in Ontario before moving to Arizona where her family resides today. Dr. Hone was the Vice President of the AVC Class of 2021, served on the Honor Code Committee, and completed the Farmer's Helping Farmer's Internship assisting smallholder dairy farmers and a vaccine study in rural Kenya. She was awarded The Christofor Award in Animal Welfare and was the recipient of the 2021 Proficiency in Theriogenology Award. Main clinical areas of interest include animal welfare, ambulatory emergency medicine and multispecies reproduction. Hanna enjoys riding horses, playing hockey, and can commonly be found jamming to a variety of tunes.
Brooke was raised on a grain and cattle farm outside of Holdfast, Sk. where her interest for all animals grew. She moved to Vermilion Alberta where she took a Veterinary Medical Assistant certificate before entering the Animal Health Technology and received her diploma in 2017. Brooke started working at Peak Vet in the summer of 2016 and continued with us after her convocation to become our Veterinary Technician. She currently lives on a farm near Mortlach, Sk with her significant other Jackson and her two dogs Brutus and Remi. Her hobbies include helping on the family farm, fishing, camping and going for trail rides.
Theresa achieved her accreditation as a Registered Veterinary Technician from Lakeland College in 2015 along with her diploma in Animal Science. She has had a passion for all sizes of animals after growing up on a grain and cattle farm near Eyebrow, SK. Veterinary interests include anesthesia, dentistry and all aspects of large animal medicine. Outside of the clinic you will find Theresa spending time at the family farm, exploring nature with her boyfriend or hanging with her furry friends at home, a very energetic dog named Bek and a cat, Joni.
Leah was born and raised on a cattle and grain farm just outside of Dilke, SK. She grew up around cows, dogs, and many farm cats that she loved to tame. Her love for animals was always there, as she spent more time outside with her animals then doing anything else. After graduation she moved to Saskatoon where she completed the Veterinary Technology Program in 2017. She worked at Watrous Animal Hospital for 2 years before making her way to Moose Jaw. She and her significant other currently live in Moose Jaw with there two cats Harvey and Hildie. Leah started working for Peak Veterinary Health January of 2022. On her time off she enjoys helping on the family farm, baking, DIY projects, and any outdoor activity.
Kally grew up on a horse farm in Yarker, Ontario. She competed on barrel horses as well as being a pony person for Ajax Downs Quarter horse Racing. She moved to Alberta with her young daughter to go to school and rodeo. She completed her Community Support Worker with Addictions diploma and did some outreach work while perusing another certificate in Medical Office Administration with Veterinary assisting. Kally went on to work for a small animal emergency clinic in Alberta Before making her way to Carnduff Saskatchewan to work with Tyson at Ranchland. In 2021 she made to move to Moose Jaw, SK. to follow the merge of the two clinics and is now a Veterinary Assistant at Peak Veterinary Health. When Kally isn’t working you will find her with her horses and dogs at a barrel race.. or keeping busy with some leatherwork at home.
